Careers

We’ve adopted a strategy of multifunctional learning that produces multifaceted employees that can hold their own in the industry.

Plant Design

PLNL is proud that we are one of the largest single train ammonia production facilities ever created and the first such facility to be located at the Point Lisas Industrial Estate (North).

Our plant was designed to be the world’s most efficient, incorporating the new gas efficient Kellogg Advanced Ammonia (KAAP) technology. This technology has allowed us to produce anhydrous ammonia via a low-energy, low-cost production process that has helped to generate maximum output.

On July 29, 1998 the plant was commissioned, the first of a new generation of Kellogg ammonia plants. The project though filled with many challenges, culminated in the construction of a remarkable plant, commissioned on time, within budget and without any lost-time accident or adverse environmental issues.

Multifaceted Employees

We have over the years adopted a strategy of cross crafting and multifunctional learning that produces multifaceted employees that can hold their own in the industry. This is in keeping with our Company’s mission to develop our people.
PLNL has also maintained a philosophy over the last ten years to expand the pool of skilled personnel at its plant. This was translated into a recruitment approach that sought applicants directly from the tertiary-level institutions, had them undergo at least a twelve-month training programme that involves primarily mentoring and hands-on instruction on the plant.
